Who We Are

More Than a Tournament

Founded by Tyrell Williams, The Crown Basketball Society is a registered non-profit organization based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We use the power of basketball to connect, uplift, and equip youth aged 10 to 17 — while building a community infrastructure that supports families across the region.

What started as a grassroots one-day fundraiser has grown into one of Atlantic Canada's most anticipated annual events, drawing athletes, families, local vendors, and supporters from across the province.

Every season, The Crown proves that community investment compounds. We are proud of the legacy we've built — and we're just getting started.

At The Crown, no young athlete is turned away due to financial barriers. We believe access to sport is a right, not a privilege — and every dollar raised goes directly toward making that belief a reality.

We partner with organizations who share our values: that investing in youth today is the most powerful thing a community can do.

Cars R Us Christmas Toy Drive

The primary beneficiary of The Crown's annual fundraiser. Delivers thousands of toys to Nova Scotian families every holiday season — because every child deserves a Christmas morning.

Youth Unlimited NS

Dedicated to life-changing mentorship and programming for young people across Nova Scotia, meeting youth where they are and walking alongside them.

902 Man-Up

A Halifax-based initiative empowering men and boys to become positive forces in their communities — providing support, accountability, and brotherhood.

Basketball Ministries Atlantic

Using the game of basketball as a platform for mentorship, leadership development, and meaningful community connection across Atlantic Canada.
